When Tyler was born, Marion made this pillow for him. According to Dawn, it is now "an intimate part of him." He is seldom without it. It has already been featured in some of the pictures you have seen. Here's one:

He has a tendency to worry one corner of the pillow with his fingers, as can be seen in the very first picture on the page.

Dawn says that he has been lugging it around with him since, well, forever. He sleeps with it. Like oxygen, it is a must have item, particularly when he is scared or hurt.

When he was in the hospital the first time, he dumped it in the toilet, striking panic in the hearts of those around him who had to figure out what to do with a disgusting pillow and a tot who would go into hysterics without it. Since that time, Marion has made a number of "backup" pillows.

The fraying on the corner he worries is particularly important. She has tried to reproduce it. Tyler always knows the difference.

Last night, he took the pillow into the bathtub with him. Dawn had to take the inside out of his pillow and replace it with the inside from a replacement pillow. It's okay to replace the inside, so long as he has the outside.

Notice how he's holding his favorite corner.
You can turn off the lights and he'll find that corner.

Dawn is going to send me more pictures of Tyler with his pillow, so look back here every once in a while for updates.
