Dear Austin & Michelle:

We’ve never heard of a leprechaun who was a girl. We have a theory about that.

You know, most people don’t think about leprechauns except on St. Patrick’s Day. As far as we know, leprechauns are around all the time. We think that the leprechauns got together a long, long, long time ago and decided to fool everybody into thinking that all leprechauns are boys. But, really, all leprechauns are girls. They just dress up as boys on St. Patrick’s day. That way they only have to worry about getting caught one day out of the year! The rest of the time they dress as themselves and they don’t have to worry about getting caught because the rest of the world thinks that all leprechauns are boys!
